I got a recommendation to check this place and took my aunt and uncle. I love metal, but my son was a little worried. They loved it and loved the food. Got to try the Poodle Bites. The BBQ sauce was a little spicy for my son. Everything I tried was good. Might have been a little loud for my aunt and uncle making it hard to have a conversation, but overall great experience.

The Brutle Poodle was a win as far as we are concerned. The theme is a bit...eclectic...and I can see some folks not choosing this venue because of it. They will be missing a real Denver food gem for sure. We found parking in the lot next door fairly easily and were seated immediately even though it was right around noon;however, the place filled up completely soon after, so if you're parked in the area for other activities I would just walk down. The outside of the restaurant is pretty unsuspecting and you would never guess the themed thrash/heavy metal dungeon going on inside. Pretty gnarly in our view. It's the type of place that can go either way even though it does get good reviews from visitors. Be forewarned, the background music here is heavy metal and thrash metal mostly. Not necessarily at an unbearable level as to make conversation (or digestion) impossible without a struggle but if you're sensitive to this type of music/noise I would bring earplugs. Our waiter was a friendly and very attentive gentleman with several face piercings along with a really good goth/hard look who kept our drinks full and entered our order quickly. We were very happy with his level of commitment to the genre and the overall service provided. I ordered the Gwarled Cheese and my wife had the Two Step: Chicken & Waffle. Both were absolutely delicious! The waffle has some jalapeno bits that were more flavor then heat and my grilled cheese was absolutely fabulous! I love when we go somewhere that could go either way, gastronomical disaster or raging success, and we ended up experiencing greatness. A win for our brazen choice! The Brutal Poodle provided us delicious food at a level that demands you come in and devour too! (of course they seem just as dedicated to their choice of musical culture as well) Even though the theme may seem strange or off putting to some, which was not the case for us, you'll be passing up some really good food if you don't stop in and try a bite. We will be back if in this area again.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVED experiencing the Brutal Poodle. Nothing about it was demuuuuure. It was loud with heavy metal music, energetic, and the staff was friendly. It is hard to hear at times but the staff was so attentive and made sure we were comfortable and had answered all of our questions. The food was great - what you would expect from gastropub type of food. It did take some time to get our food (40 min) it was so busy. I would definitely come back to try their other menu options. However the reg fries, sweet potato fries, and pickle batter were overdone, but I'm still giving all 5 stars because the flavors were all there! All fairly priced for what you got. They have a Daily Happy Hour that we missed since we were on the waitlist for 30 min. They also have vegan options and are dog friendly on the patio. Def recommend.

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon, and the noise seems manageable (they likely crank it later). Everyone was friendly and welcoming and looking around the food on everyone's plates looked amazing making the menu even more tempting. Sat at the bar and was carded right away before getting a Mule, and some input on what is great to eat there. Ended up with a mac and cheese that was delicious and breakfasty. I will be back to try their burger and several other menu items.
